자원봉사자들은 프랑스 Auvergne 지역에서 지역개발과 자원봉사의 활성화를 돕는 일을 하게 됩니다. 또한 지역에서 열리는 워크캠프의 리더로 활동할 수 있습니다.

2007-FR-165 Croix de Neyrat
Concordia has been working in promoting and developing volunteering in Clermont-Ferrand, and Auvergne region, since 1983
2007-FR-165 Croix de Neyrat is a project about urban development and promotion of volunteering in a city and working class neighborhoods. Volunteers will be in relation with local people and will be in straight contact with young inhabitants with fewer opportunities and others to propose them (by organizing information and promotion sessions about voluntary service and other activities in different structures as the municipalities structures, the quartier nord centre, schools, leisure centres) to participate in mobility and citizenship programs like workcamps, EVS and civil service.
The 2 Korean EVS will also participate in workcamps as leaders or co-leaders and promote voluntary work, participation, citizenship, exchange and bond creating tool which is a workcamp. Volunteers will have also the possibility to put in place a personal project.

Role and tasks of the volunteer
The objectives of the project are to :
- Develop the access for the young people of the suburb area of Clermont-Ferrand in the projects of mobility and "voluntary participation".
- Strengthen the integration of the international workcamps in the district area.

So the missions of the volunteer will consist in :

  • Improving the information regarding the opportunities towards a young public and the people involved in the youth sector ( teacher, group leaders, youth worker…) and facilitating the organisation of a network of the involved structures
  • Creating the conditions for a better integration of the international workcamps in the district area by a field work of information, explanation and a work to improve inhabitants and local associations awareness in the thematic of Mobility, citizenship, life environment, and Europe.
  • Creating an exchange dynamic and an active participation of the local population and the volunteers during the workcamps.Volunteers will be given time to build a personal project, if they wish to do it.

Working hours, days off per week, holidays
The typical working day of the volunteer will be from 9h30 to 12h and from 14h to 18h from Monday to Friday. This schedule can change according to the activities. Anyway, the timetable will be organised to have 32 hours per week The volunteer could have two days off per month. It is possible to take them in a row.

Food, accommodation
During her first month in France, the volunteer will be accommodated in a "center for young workers" .This center is close by the city center of Clermont-Ferrand, near the trolley and 10 minutes walking from Concordia office.
Then and up to the end of the EVS, the volunteer will be accommodated in a furnished flat which is located one floor above the office of Concordia. This flat has two rooms, one kitchen, one living room and toilets. The volunteer will share this flat with one or two more volunteers.
The volunteer will have money for food and have the possibilities to share with the other volunteers to buy food or cleaning products.

Courses of language
The volunteer will have two hours French lessons per week during the first two months after her arrival. The lessons can keep going in the following months if necessary. It will be group lessons with other EVS volunteers. The teacher will be qualified to teach French as a foreign language.
