본 행사는 유럽과 아시아의 국제 청소년교류 단체의 청소년 교육전문가들이 한데 모여
각 국가의 청소년 교육 프로그램 공유 및 개발을 위한 토의의 장이 될 것이며
국제 청소년교류 현황과 현재의 이슈들에 대해서 다양한 의견들을 나누게 됩니다.

3. 공동주최단체 소개
* 아시아유럽재단 (Asia-Europe Foundation)
- 아시아-유럽간 문화, 지식, 인적 교류를 더욱 활성화 시키고 이해를 증진하기 위해 1997년 ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting) 국가의 결의로 설립되었으며 싱가포르에 본부를 두고 있다.
* 유럽자원봉사단체협의회 (Alliance of Europe Voluntary Service Organisations)
- 유럽내 국제자원봉사단체들의 권익을 보호하고 국제자원봉사의 활성화를 위해 1982년 설립되었으며 총 26개국의 42개 회원단체로 구성되어 있다.
4. 영문소개
* BACKGROUND
Offering a training course with the Asian-European dimension will add a great value to the existing bi-regional relations, as this type of activity emphasises a holistic educational approach and combines elements of theory and experiential learning, which helps to increase the effectiveness of youth work.
The current project will foster the process of sharing concepts and values of youth work on a bi-regional dimension, which directly contributes to strengthening networks among organisations and further development of new projects for Asia-Europe youth exchanges. International training activities are based on the notion of intercultural learning, which promotes better understanding and appreciation of culture diversity and leads to the field of conflict prevention among new generations of young people all around the world. The personal development and empowerment of the participating Youth, which trainings maintain, give this type of activity a special value and encourages the multiplying effect among Youth.
* INTRODUCTION
The project will bring together maximun thirty (30) young activists and volunteers, from various youth organisations in ASEM countries1), who are interested in becoming trainers and facilitators for running non-formal education activities. ‘Asia – Europe Training for Trainers –Developing Skills and Competences for Intercultural Dialogue’ aims to build a capacity and raise self-confidence of the participants as future trainers by providing them with the basic skills and knowledge on training essentials.
This project will also be a platform, giving young trainers and facilitators from the two regions of Asia and Europe a great opportunity to foster the intercultural learning process, which will benefit their personal competence and knowledge [1]on cultural diversity. As multiplyers, the participants will pass the new obtained skills on to other Youth in their home countries, when preparing and running their own future projects. This Asia-Europe Training Course will also be the first step for trainers from ASEM countries to start the process of networking.
The Training is forseen to be 6 days’ event with a dynamic programme, which will have various elements of theory and practice, and other methods encouraging active participation and assuring a deep learning experience for the target group.
* OBJECTIVES
- To provide participants with the basic skills and knowledge on training essentials in non-formal education connected with an Asia-Europe context;
- To provide a platform for youth workers and volunteers from Asia and Europe to share their previous experiences and ideas
- To develop intercultural competences and organizational skills of participants
- To explore differences and similarities of non-formal education activities in Asia and Europe by comparing existing approaches and sharing practices.
- To foster the future networking process of participants from two regions by providing them with space and time for contacts-making activities
* EXPECTED OUTPUT
It is expected as a result that the participants will gain basic skills as trainers and facilitators for non-formal education activities, the intercultural competences and better understanding of culture diversity, as well as they will get more motivation and confidence for initiating and running other youth projects. It is also expected that both the participants, as future trainers, and the organisations from Asia and Europe, involved in this Training, will start a networking process for developing common projects.
* PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS
• be young activists (aged from18 to 35) who are interested to be trainers or facilitators for running non-formal education activities
• be interested in developing Asia-Europe relations in the field of trainings
• be in a position to act as multipliers – facilitators and trainers within their organization network, or service local, national or regional level and plan to continue their work in the near future
• be responsible for implementing youth projects and willing to be committed to youth cooperation between Asia and Europe and beyond
• be responsible/ready to commit themselves in preparing and running training activities in the following years as well as be facilitators in future ASEF events
• have working knowledge of English
• available for the whole duration of the seminar
• be ready to actively contribute to the running of the event
