Project: In Korea, many farm villages in countryside are facing serious problems that the population of young generation decreases rapidly and many Korean are getting interested in environment friendly farming and food. However, unlikely other villages, Yoochon Village (the Host Org.) has high percentage of young people and therefore keeps its active and lively atmosphere. Now this village is making hard efforts to develop its own culture and establish an environment-friendly system. Participants will paint the wall of the entrance in the village to give a fresh touch.
Work: Participants will help local people farming in fields. And they will paint the wall located in the village entry to help make the village look lively. Participants will be requested to bring new ideas and to paint the wall with their own cultural backgrounds. Also, volunteers will organize some activities for local children.
Location: Hwacheon, Gangwon-do. It’s 200 km away to east from Seoul.
Accommodation and food: In the community center. Sleeping bag necessary. Meals, cooked by themselves.
Terminal: Incheon International airport in Seoul
